Leafy Greens Smoothie with Apple & Ginger

Smoothies have been very popular lately and there is a very good reason for that; they‘re delicious and packed up with nutrients.  I personally make sure that I have one smoothie a day to assure that my immune system gets daily boost. 

 

The green smoothies are especially powerful, mainly because of the leafy green vegetables such as spinach, kale, water cress and many others are storehouses of highly beneficial nutrients for your body. In our busy lives there is not always time for 100% healthy food every day, but drinking green smoothie will give your body the daily dosage of vitamins, minerals and antioxidants that you need. Much better than taking a multivitamin.  Multivitamins actually cause more harm than good.

 

For example this green smoothie is made with spinach and arugula, but, you can switch the greens in your smoothie everyday to different combination.  Adding fruits such as apple, lemon, lime or kiwi with ginger gives you not only more nutrients, but also a pleasant flavour. Not to forget the celery, which is extremely healthy, tasty and affordable.   As I always say, be creative and don’t be afraid to experiment.

Prep time 7min Cooking time 0min Total 7min   

Ingredients

 

 

Arugula & Spinach mix 1 cup

Celery  1 stalk cutup

Green apple ½ cutup

Juice from ½  lemon

Juice from ½ lime

Macha 1tsp 

Ginger shredded  Â½ tsp (is better if you shred it before you add it in the blender)

Water 1 cup

Blend everything in a high powerblender
