Raw Plants - Essential Agents supporting Spiritual Awakening

Posted on May 7th, 2016

Ethical veganism and spirituality is the main reason why I transformed to vegan lifestyle. “AHIMSA” which means non violence to all living beings is at the core of the Buddhist & Hindu traditions which I became aware of through yoga & meditation. Our true nature is compassion, but we are conditioned by our culture to suppress it and live in disharmony with the universal truth and our Soul.

As majority of people, I grew up in non vegan family, however, we always ate plenty of raw vegetables. Especially at summertime, my grandmother created a little garden on a roof of a small warehouse building that was connected to our townhouse.  It is hard to describe, since I was born in Slovakia at the time of Communism and the way we lived seems now like another lifetime. Nothing even remotely comparable to the way we live here in Canada.

Nonetheless, the garden is one of the dearest memories from my childhood and I recall it like a pleasant dream.  I used to wake up and climb up wooden stairs to the garden checking on strawberries, raspberries and green peas, since I couldn’t wait for them to be ripe and ready to eat. We had a little bit of everything; potatoes, onions, cucumbers, radishes, carrots, grapes end even tiny peach tree grown from a peach pit. It took my grandmother few years to grow before it had few peaches, but it did.  Everything was truly organic back then and grown with love, especially for me and my sister.

This is one of the reasons why it was easy for me to transition to a vegan living and begin creating vegan recipes. Lot of them were converted and inspired from my grandmother's old recipes. At this moment I am not raw vegan yet, but I do eat raw vegetables every day, starting with breakfast. I usually have half of avocado, Campari tomatoes and cucumber slices with whole grain toast and Himalayan Pink Salt.  During the day, I make sure I have a large salad, smoothie and fruits. The ideal would be to eat 80% raw food, so I am gradually working towards that. However, it is much easier to eat raw at summertime, because at wintertime I crave cooked food a lot more.

Based on my experience, I would say climate plays quite crucial role in our diet, at least for some of us. There are people who are fully satisfied eating raw under any circumstances, yet it may be harder for others. The key is to listen to our bodies and make sure we are getting a wide range of whole foods daily and then gradually adding more raw ingredients. Of course for those who are not vegan yet it is important to transition to plant based diet first.

Raw plants are not only an aid to our health, but they are also essential agents supporting spiritual awakening. The enzymes found in living plans are working as building blogs for replenishing our body and minerals are one of the deep secrets of Spiritual nutrition according to Dr. Cousens.  Minerals are frequencies of consciousness, frequencies of light and frequencies of information needed for spiritual life.

Minerals must be angstrom sized in order to be absorbed by our cells.

“Plants are able to take these minerals in, and break them down into angstrom-size, which they use. Once we understand that, we understand that the vegetables we eat transfer angstrom size minerals from the soil to us via the plants.” ~ Spiritual Nutrition, Dr. Gabriel Cousens.

In addition to that Dr. Gabriel Cousens says:

“We are able to use such products like Himalayan or Celtic sea salt with great results because they are angstrom sized minerals. Table salt and heated salt is covalently bonded. We cannot use it in the body and it gets stored as toxic build up in our tissues.”

From article:

Eat your way out of the Matrix

I highly recommend reading the whole article to get the full expertise on this subject by Dr. Cousens.

From my humble perspective, I can only say that we are living in an extremely powerful era of human evolution when each individual has an opportunity to make a major leap in consciousness. We need as many people as possible to fuel the power of the whole collective consciousness, by their own personal awakening.  The results could bring a new future of love, peace and abundance for all. The planet can be restored to her original beauty and vigour without war, slavery, disease and unnecessary suffering.

To achieve the best results we need to start living more minimalistic and pure lifestyle which includes whole plant based diet, primarily raw, spending time alone in contemplation and mediation, possibly in the nature. We need to disconnect from consumerism, by purchasing only products we need absolutely necessary and products that are cruelty free. It is also our duty to advocate this lifestyle to others, but we must do it with love and without judgment. Even I am still in the process of becoming the best version of myself and there is a lot of room for improvement. So do not be hard on yourself, but do your best.
